Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus, a former high school football standout who quit the UCLA football team last August after committing to play at the school in February 2015, has reportedly decided to quit again after vowing to return to the team in March. Los Angeles Daily News reporter Thuc Nhi Nguyen reported that Broadus was a no-show for UCLA's first day of training camp on Monday, and TMZ Sports confirmed that Broadus is not currently listed on the UCLA roster.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora also spoke with reporters about Broadus' status on Monday afternoon and said he has left the team and is "pursuing other passions":

Broadus is still listed on UCLA football's official website, but it sounds like it's only a matter of time before his name is scrubbed from the site.

The first time Broadus quit the UCLA team, he said that he wanted to "do his own thing." He later admitted that he only played football to get his father to love him. "It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus, the person, not Cordell Broadus, the football player," he said. "The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words."

However, Broadus had second thoughts about quitting and rejoined the team as a walk-on in March. At the time, he said he was doing it because he "missed the game."

Broadus was a highly-ranked college football prospect when he attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. The four-star wideout was listed as the 221st best player in the country on the recruiting site 247 and the 130th best player in the country on ESPN.com. Though he committed to UCLA, he also had scholarship offers from powerhouse programs like Baylor, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and USC. But now that his second stint with UCLA hasn't worked out the way he planned, it's unlikely that we'll ever see him on a football field again.
