Back in July 2014, Reggie Bullock's older sister Mia Henderson was stabbed to death in Baltimore. One month later, Baltimore police were able to pinpoint the person responsible for Mia's death after finding DNA evidence under her fingertips. Upon hearing the news of his sister's passing, Bullock sent out a couple tweets, acknowledging how she showed him how to live his own life.
Bullock mentioning his "brother" and his use of the hashtag #RIPKEVIN was in reference to Henderson, who was born Kevin Long.
On Friday, Bullock spoke with Nick Wright, filling in for Colin Cowherd on The Herd, about his sister. In addition to sharing the heart-wrenching story about when he found out she had been killed, Reggie also discussed how Mia has left a lasting impact on his life.
“He lived as himself, he taught me how to be [myself], he taught me how to take care of the family. Just be yourself. He was happy with being who he was, he wasn’t worried about how others felt about him.
