With the Premier League season up and running, football fans can start counting down to the next biggest date in the annual football calendar: EA SPORTS FIFA 17 release day.
The world's biggest football video game drops in the United States on September 27th (and the rest of the world on September 29th) and EA SPORTS have just take over Gamescom to make a series of announcements about FIFA Ultimate Team and the future of the FIFA franchise.
In amongst the headline grabbing news that truly competitive gaming is coming to Ultimate Team and building online squads is now an entire game in itself, the newest gameplay trailer for FIFA 17 dropped and revealed a mountain of insight into the game – some of which was pretty hard to catch in the lightning-fast cuts between each scene.
We've broken down the newest FIFA 17 trailer scene-by-scene to find five things you might not have already known about the game the whole world is waiting for.
1. The new envrionments look incredible
FIFA 17 will be the first title in the franchise that has been built on the Frostbite engine, which means EA SPORTS can put more detail in their in-game environments than ever before.
It's hard to see this any better than in the unveiling of West Ham's new Olympic Stadium, which was seen in the new trailer for the first time. Middlesbrough fans will also be happy to see that following their promotion to the Premier League, the Riverside Stadium will be in FIFA for the first time.
2.
The move to Frostbite also means we can see the sort of visual effects in FIFA that just haven't been possible until now – such as pyrotechnics everytime your team plays in a cup final.
There's so much detail they've even got Jamie Vardy's trademark blue wristband absolutely spot on.
3. They've actually made Lionel Messi's hair blonde
One of the biggest minor miracles of the summer was that Lionel Messi appeared to discover a slice of teenage rebellion (15 years too late). He quit the Argentina national team, got even more tattoos and dyed his hair blonde.
Even though he's not on the cover of the game anymore, EA SPORTS has obviously still got a place in its heart for Lionel Messi and has updated his look – complete with bleach blonde hair.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is walking across the season with even more pomposity following his Euro 2016 win over the summer.

5. New signings are taking centre stage
In the same way EA SPORTS changed with the times to include Messi's new hair, they've moved the cast of their most recent trailers around to show them at their new clubs.
In the latest trailer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is shown at the centre of a team huddle with Wayne Rooney, N'Golo Kante is walking out to the Stamford Bridge pitch alongside Michy Batshuayi and Hatem Ben Arfa is embarassing defenders for PSG.

8. Arsene Wenger's coat is in the game
One of the things to get fans most excited about FIFA 17 was the inclusion of Premier League managers for the first time.
In the new trailer, it looks like EA SPORTS have been pretty true to life on this front. Arsene Wenger is seen complaining about a refereeing decision at Stamford Bridge (in his trademark coat, no less), Jose Mourinho is celebrating victory over Alan Pardew and Jurgen Klopp is mobbed by Liverpool players.

11. Goal celebrations are getting wilder and wilder
Everyone knew that Paul Pogba's dab was coming to FIFA 17 – but it turns out that's not the only true-to-life new celebration we'll be using on the field this year.
Beyond Pogba, EA SPORTS have given Antoine Griezmann his own moment with the 'Hotline Bling' dance and – in even more of a surprise – Michail Antonio's Homer Simpson-esque floor dance is also included.
Let's all pray Lingard doesn't get to use the dab, too.
