It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo has been hiding his fandom for MMA.
While in Las Vegas on a well-deserved summer break following his Euro 2016 triumph with Portugal, Ronaldo dropped in to UFC superstar Conor McGregor's gym – where the Irishman is gearing up for his rematch with Nate Diaz on August 20th.
Ronaldo broke the news of their meeting on Instagram to his 70 million followers, where he wrote: "Great to see you bro!"
McGregor says he wants to take Ronaldo's spot on top of the Forbes Rich List.
Ever competitive, McGregor captioned his own Instagram photo of him and Ronaldo with a mission statement to dislodge Cristiano as the richest man in sport:
"My brother Ronaldo dropped by the gym today! He is an animal. Thank you @cristiano, much respect! I will see you for that Forbes number 1 spot next year. #ThisIsTheMacLife"
Whether this newfound friendship is genuine or just for the cameras, Ronaldo's visible support is a pretty huge deal for Conor McGregor and UFC.
