Anthony Joshua wants to make history with his very own 'Rumble in the Jungle'.

42 years since Muhammad Ali defeated George Foreman in front of 60,000 fans in the nation formerly known as Zaire, the golden boy of British boxing wants to follow in the footsteps of greatness by bringing a world heavyweight title fight to Africa.

After punishing Dominic Breazeale at the O2 Arena in his first world title defence, Joshua is eyeing up a future fight way outside of the UK:

"It [a fight in Africa] has been done before. It made massive news and was history. I think that would be massive. I would not turn that opportunity down.

Anthony Joshua wants to fight in either Nigeria or Ghana.

The 26-year-old was born in Watford to Nigerian parents and is believed to have spent a lot of time in Africa growing up.

Muhammad Ali made history when he fought in Africa in 1974 and when Anthony Joshua spoke to Complex last year, he made no secret of his admiration for The Greatest:

"Ali obviously achieved what the likes of Tyson did and so on but he become a champion at the time of civil rights struggles, where it was hard for a black athlete to become a champion. Boxing was driven by politics, the mafia were involved in boxing, and it wasn’t about just your talent, it was about who you knew and what you knew. Ali kind of broke the mould."

Anthony Joshua is on the path to global domination.
