Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan was not too happy at the sight of LeSean McCoy-backup and second-year running back Karlos Williams at the team's training camp on Tuesday. Ryan was reportedly displeased with Williams' extra girth he packed on during the offseason.

Williams thought he had a valid excuse for being overweight because of his pregnant fiancée. According to ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak, Williams blamed his weight gain on his overeating to support his pregnant fianceé.

Williams did his best to justify his rotund status upon arrival at training camp:

"It definitely is a first, but I like to eat, and then her being pregnant gave me an excuse to eat, so eating anything and everything. She’d wake up one or two o’clock. 'I want a snack.' Well, I’m not going to sit here and watch you eat because I don’t want you to feel bad, but it’s back to football. She’s getting back to working out herself, so kind of motivating each other, feed off each other’s energy, and we’re getting ready for camp."

While his teammates carried out their drills, Williams singularly worked with the team's strength coach on the sideline to get the pounds down as quickly as possible. Ryan said of Williams: "Obviously he's not anywhere close to where he needs to play at a high level. So we've got to get some weight off him and he certainly understands that."

When asked about how much weight Williams has gained, Ryan "You guys can see him as well as I do. He's clearly overweight."

Hes got a lot of work to do, and that includes not succumbing to his food vices again before Week 1.
