It's been a disastrous end to the season for Mamadou Sakho.

After impressing at the heart of Liverpool's defence for the bulk of the season – and being a catalyst for the club's historic comeback against Borussia Dortmund at Anfield last month – Sakho is ending the season on the sidelines following a failed drugs test.

The France defender is currently serving a 30-day suspension while UEFA investigates his test and – always keen to be true to life – EA Sports has now taken Sakho out of Liverpool's squad on FIFA 16.

Sakho isn't available for selection on FIFA 16 anymore.

Sakho has been replaced in the club's starting XI by Kolo Toure and he isn't available for selection in the subs or reserves.

Speaking to Squawka, EA Sports explained that they try to mimic the limitations placed upon managers in real life with their squad updates. As a result, Sakho will not be reintroduced into the game until he's available for selection under Jurgen Klopp once again.
