On Thursday night, a bunch of dorks kids who are probably going to run the world one day gathered in Maryland to spell words that you didn't even know existed. They were asked to spell words like "feldenkrais," "tetradrachm," and "taoiseach" at the Scripps National Spelling Bee. And after 25 %&^*$#! rounds (seriously?!) it ended with a...tie. The co-champions of the event were New York'sJairam Hathwar, 13, and Texas's Nihar Janga, 11.

Seeing as how he's from Texas, Nihar is, not surprisingly, a Cowboys fan, and before attending the national competition, his dad told him that if he won, he'd take him to a Dallas game to see his favorite player Dez Bryant as a reward.

Nihar, who, again, is only 11, responded by dominating the competition and spelling "gesellschaft" correctly to earn a share of the Scripps trophy. And after doing so, he tossed up Bryant's signature "X" celebration because, let's face it, he's never going to get a chance to bust it out in an end zone:

Afterwards, Bryant caught wind of the swag shown by the co-champ and sent out his congrats via Twitter while also sounding like he's going to take Nihar's dad off the hook when it comes to actually having to pay for tickets to a Cowboys' game:

Seems like a good night all around for Nihar, and now that the precedent has been set, we'll have to see which other NFL moves future Scripps winners bust out to celebrate their victories. After all, there's certainly no shortage of great options to choose from:

Okay, maybe not any of those. See you next year, kids!
