Say what you will about Bryce Harper, but you can't deny he's got a good heart. Following the Washington Nationals' 4-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs in extra innings on Mother's Day, Harper was spotted giving a glass full of money to a homeless woman.

Asheley Dunphy, who works part-time in events operations for the Cubs, saw the entire incident and wrote about it on her Facebook page. The post has since been deleted, but the Washington Post was able to grab a couple of quotes.

"I couldn’t help but give him knucks as he got back on the bus & told him he was a good man," Asheley Marie wrote. "He gave them back with a smile & a big thank you!"

According to Asheley, Harper stepped off the team bus and handed the jar to the woman who sitting under a tree. Chelsea Jones of the Washington Post was eventually able to confirm the story.

While the Bryce's gesture is a touching one, we can't help but wonder why the Nationals star outfielder is just carrying around a glass jar of money. While the old, retired MLB players are hating on him for trying to make baseball fun again, Harper is doing his best to help out those in need without seeking the attention or acknowledgment.
