Yair Rodriguez landed one of the year's greatest knockouts at UFC 197.

In a featherweight contest on the undercard of Jon Jones' return to action last weekend, 23-year-old Rodriguez floored Andre Fili in the second round with a jumping switch kick that looked more like a Paolo Di Canio goal than something you'd see in the Octagon.

An excited Joe Rogan labelled the knockout as one of the greatest highlight reel moments in UFC history. Rodriguez is being hotly tipped as a contender for years to come in the UFC, so featherweight champion Conor McGregor might want to take a look at this.

The KO from Yair Rodriguez looked like Di Canio's legendary goal against Wimbledon.

16 years on, this still looks crazy.
