Earlier this week, reports surfaced about talks between Johnny Manziel and the Denver Broncos. While the Broncos were quick to shut down the rumors, the quarterback position, which currently consists of Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian, is still a huge question mark following the departure of Brock Osweiler to the Houston Texans.

What may have stoked the flames regarding this meeting between the Broncos and Johnny Football is head coach Gary Kubiak who, like Manziel, is a former Texas A&M quarterback. The ties don't end there. Von Miller is also a former Aggies player. In a recent interview with reporters, Miller wasn't coy about his desire to have the troubled 23-year-old quarterback on his team. "If I had to make my decision on it, he would already be on the Broncos," he said. "But we've got guys in the front office that make those decisions, and they put us in championships with those decisions. So I'm just going to follow those guys and have those guys take the lead."

While Josh McCown and the slim chance of acquiring Colin Kaepernick still remain a possibility for the Broncos, time will tell if the front office's limited options will eventually lead to the organization taking a chance on Manziel.
