Wayne Rooney Shares Footage of Him Scoring a Banger for His Schoolboy Team at Just 10-Years-Old

Wayne Rooney pretty much played the game the same way at 10-years-old.

Wayne Rooney's style of play hasn't really changed that much since he was a schoolboy.

The Manchester United striker – now 30-years-old – used #TBT to share some rare footage of him playing football for his schoolboy side at just 10-years-old. It's not too different from what we saw in Rooney at his peak, muscling defenders off the ball before unleashing a banger into the top corner.

Rooney began his football career playing for Liverpool schoolboys and – given this goal was scored at Anfield and Rooney is in red – we'd have to assume that's who he was representing when he scored this goal. He scored 72 goals in a single season with the red half of Merseyside, which was a record that stood for 14 years.

More goals of this kind at Euro 2016 please, Wayne.
