The Jaguars and Panthers Got Into a Bizarre, Yet Adorable, Twitter Beef About Cats

Today is Earth Day. And, like every holiday, you're sure to see your fair share of tie-ins from corporate twitter.

For instance, the Jacksonville Jaguars used the opportunity to give us all a fact I didn't bother to double-check about the source of their team name, and also to remind the world that they still exist. You can see it above. It adds no real value to your life. But it's good to know.

However, some just can't let others have their moment. And, as you can also see, the Carolina Panthers tried to steal their 5-11 feline adversary's thunder:

Thankfully Jaguars twitter was having none of it, as whoever's running it is much more educated on the world of big cats, and responded with this GIF:

The Panthers, ever the pros that they are, were able to play off like they knew that, and sold it nicely in keeping with the theme:

The most positive thing is that it brings awareness to what the day is truly about which is cats I think.
