Nemanja Matic has become the latest Premier League player to hit the headlines for all the right reasons.

Nemanja Matic has become the latest Premier League player to hit the headlines for all the right reasons.

Weeks after his young Chelsea team mate Ola Aina was praised for sending football boots to young players in Nigeria, it's been reported that midfield general Matic is using his wealth to help those who have fallen on hard time in his hometown.

According to Serbian journalist Marko Vukicevic, Matic is very generous to locals in Vrelo when he visits, paying grocery bills and even going as far as to help clear gambling debts for those with nowhere else to turn.

Chelsea have a history of players who go above and beyond the call of duty.

Before Matic and Aina, Blues legend Didier Drogba was one of the first Premier League stars to be widely applauded for giving something back.

The Ivory Coast striker operates his own charitable foundation which helps provide education and health support to children in his home country and most recently, he provided youngsters with footballs that also have ability to power electrical appliances.
