Real Madrid Are Flying a 5-Year-Old Palestinian Orphan to Spain so He Can Meet Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid are doing it right.

Real Madrid are making a young fan's dreams come true.

Five-year-old Ahmed Dawabsha from Palestine will travel to Spain this week to meet his heroes, months after he survived a firebomb attack from Jewish extremists that killed his younger brother and two parents.

Now under the care of his grandfather, Ahmed's story has unfolded on Twitter, where a campaign to get the young warrior in front of players from his favourite football team has gathered pace.

Speaking to AFP, his grandfather, Hussein Dawabsha, says Real have heard of Ahmed's story and will be flying them to Madrid this week:

"We have been invited by Real Madrid, but we don't know yet which day we will be able to meet the players."

Photos have emerged of Ahmed getting ready to board his plane to Madrid.

Jibril Raboub, head of the Palestinian Football Association, has also spoken to praise the "superb humanitarian gesture by Real Madrid, its administration and Cristiano Ronaldo".

Ahmed was hospitalised with severe burns after the attack last July and he's just finished up a spell of eight months in a hospital bed.

We all just grew to love Real Madrid a little bit more.
