This Isn't How Athletes Dream of Finishing a Record Breaking Half-Marathon

This wasn't the photo finish that Robert Mbithi was after.

Robert Mbithi just broke the record for completing the Bath fastest half-marathon in the event's history – unfortunately, that's not what anyone is really talking about.

Upon reaching the finishing line after beating the event's previous record time by 18 seconds, Mbithi literally fell over the finishing line after tangling his legs tangled in the finishing tape.

Thankfully, the Kenyan athlete wasn't too hurt and got back to his feet moments later. It's the last thing he needed after running 13 miles, though.
