It's hard to accurately put into words how the Carolina Panthers feel at this very moment after losing to the Denver Broncos, 24-10, in Super Bowl 50. However, if there was one team that has a pretty good idea, it's the New York Mets, who were defeated by the Kansas City Royals in the World Series, a little more than three months ago. After last night's game, the Mets' Twitter account reached out to both Super Bowl teams, adding a personal message to the Panthers.
The Panthers responded by pointing out that the Royals can also sympathize with how the Panthers are currently feeling, but know what it's like to miss out on winning a championship one year, only to come back the following season and take it all.
The Royals responded to the Panthers' tweet and included some stuff they should've thought twice about.
Good luck?! Hey Royals, you know there's an NFL team called the Chiefs... from Kansas City, right? When the Chiefs caught wind of this lovefest between the Royals and Panthers, their response was priceless.
The Royals tried to make things right, but the damage was already done.
