For Michael Jordan, the secret to his success was his shoes. Well, shoes—and a ridiculous amount of talent. For Steph Curry, the secret to his success is a bunch of insane shooting drills, even more insane ball handling drills…and a toilet. That’s right, a toilet.

Back on November 12, the Warriors star sent out an excited tweet about the new automated toilet that his wife Ayesha purchased for him. Forget that it was 4 a.m. or that, according to the Golden State schedule, he was somewhere between Memphis and Minnesota at the time the tweet was sent out. Curry was HYPED about his new toilet:

And apparently, he's still hyped about it. Curry just took part in a Q&A for ESPN The Magazine’s new “Ideas of the Year” issue. In it, he talks about getting better by working hard and using sensory-deprivation tanks. But more importantly, he talks about his toilet again and says that he’s pretty sure the toilet has helped him up his game.

“Oh, man, that toilet just makes me happy in life,” he said. “I bet if I did a case study on my performance since I got that toilet, you’d see the difference. I was in Minnesota when Ayesha told me about it. And the next day I had 46 [points]. There’s a reason for that.”

Which got us to thinking: Why don't we do a case study on it?! So we decided to crunch some numbers to see if Curry’s stats really are better AT—as in “after toilet.” We can’t believe that we’re at the point where we’re doing this to try and make sense of what Curry has done so far this season. But hey, there has to be some explanation for it, right? So our Steph Curry coverage has officially gone—ahem—in the toilet.
