Floyd Mayweather was seen sitting courtside at a basketball game tonight. No surprise there, right? So, which game did he decide to check out in person? The San Antonio Spurs versus the Chicago Bulls? Nope. The Houston Rockets squaring off against the Detroit Pistons? Not even close. Floyd was in the Westchester County Arena to see an NBA D-League showdown between the Westchester Knicks and the Grand Rapids Drive. We're not kidding.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN.com, there was a reason behind Mayweather's decision.

Apparently Floyd Mayweather is buddies w/Westchester's Jordon Crawford. He's sitting courtside w/the largest entourage in D League history.

As an added bonus, Mayweather was able to witness the Westchester debut of Jimmer Fredette.

Final line for Jimmer Fredette in Westchester: 37 points on 12-of-17 shooting & 8 assists. Cleanthony Early had 19 points, 13 rebounds.

Fredette, however, gives all credit to Coach Mayweather, who offered up some solid advice during the game.

Jimmer Fredette said Floyd Mayweather "just kept telling me to shoot it ... so I did."
