Andy Dalton Leaves Game After Injuring Thumb on Throwing Hand

It's A.J. McCarron time!

UPDATED (12/13/2015): The McCarron era will last for at least one more week. Dalton will be out against the 49ers with a fractured thumb.

McCarron went 22-for-33 with two touchdowns in the 33-20 loss to the Steelers. He also threw two interceptions, one a pick six by William Gay. This is what happens when Gay gets a pick six.

However, McCarron is still keeping the faith.

Wow. AJ McCarron says "Tom Brady was in the same situation." #wallypipp

Eh, let's work on winning games first.

Just throw the ball to A.J. Green on every down.

Quarterbacks don't really do all that well when it comes tackling on interception returns. Andy Dalton didn't fare that much better than average.

After the Steelers' Stephon Tuitt made a great, Madden-esque interception, Dalton tried to comeback with a tackle. He ended up injuring his thumb for his trouble — not a great situation when you get paid to throw balls. At least A.J. McCarron is getting some downs now.

Dalton is out for the game, and we'll keep you posted on injury updates.
