Marcelo Huertas is a 32-year-old professional basketball player who had a long and successful career overseas before signing with the Lakers this summer. But he's looked anything but NBA-ready through his first few appearances this season.
Huertas had two absolutely wretched attempts to beat the shot clock in a recent game against the Miami Heat, and last night in a loss to the Suns in Phoenix, Brandon Knight used a crossover move that had Huertas literally running in circles.
This was obviously embarrassing, but it probably wasn't enough for the Internet savages out there to head over to Wikipedia and prematurely announce Huertas' demise.
Huertas was extremely sensitive the last time one of his lowlights made the rounds, so let's hope he's grown a thicker skin by now.
As for Knight, it's nice to see him on the right side of things for a change.
