Steve Smith Gets Carried Off With Apparent Achilles Injury (UPDATED)

Hopefully this isn't his last play in the NFL.

UPDATE (11/1/15): Steve Smith is out for the season with a torn Achilles. Smith was planning to retire at the end of the year, but coach John Harbaugh suggested that he might want to retire on his own terms.

Harbaugh: "I have a feeling Steve Smith will be back."

This year is so crazy with injuries that even the indestructible Steve Smith is vulnerable. A month ago, it was his back and ribs. Today, it's his Achilles.

Smith was running up the middle in what looked like a fairly standard Steve Smith play when he hit the turf. He immediately pointed at that right leg before he was carried off by medics.

Smith planned to retire after this season, but this could be the last play of his career if this is as bad as it looks. Hundreds of thousands of people would give up their Achilles for that not to be the case.
