Lions Ameer Abdullah Returns Kick 104 Yards, Just Misses Scoring A TD

Ameer Abdullah will go in the record books for returning longest kick in Lions history without scoring a TD.

Lions running back Ameer Abdullah took the opening kickoff almost all the way, just missing starting the third quarter with a touchdown when he was tripped up by Packers DB Micah Hyde and stopped at the 1.

It was the longest kick return in Lions history without scoring a TD.

Three plays later, the Lions scored on their first third down conversion of the afternoon when Matthew Stafford hit Brandon Pettigrew to take a 9-3 lead over the Packers thanks to a missed PAT.
