The Bills will face the Jets this week, and because Rex Ryan enjoys trolling other NFL teams more than he enjoys his wife's feet, he named IK Enemkpali as a co-captain for the contest.

This is relevant, of course, because of the fact that Enemkpali was a member of the Jets before the season began, but was released after he punched Geno Smith in the face in the New York locker room, which caused Smith to be sidelined for the first seven weeks of the season.

The incident was reported to have occurred over a matter of $600 that Smith owed Enemkpali at the time. But this week, Smith told reporters that he never owed his former teammate anything.

After the crowd left his locker, Smith dropped a surprising detail that may change the narrative about the incident. "I didn't owe him,'' he told Newsday, refuting reports that their argument stemmed from his refusal to pay Enemkpali $600 he owed. "No. That's the biggest misconception in America.'' ...

Smith said he's still upset about what happened, because it's kept him out of action this season. But if his most recent remarks are to be believed, the real reason it took place is still a mystery.
