Planning on trying to fly a drone over a big sporting event? Here's why it's probably not a great idea.

According to the New York Daily News, a 26-year-old New York City teacher named Daniel Verley was arrested on Thursday night for flying a drone over a U.S. Open match and crash-landing it into a row of unoccupied seats inside Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, N.Y. The drone crashed in the middle of a match between Monica Niculescu and Flavia Pennetta and, as you can hear in the video above, it made a pretty loud sound when it did. Both players appeared startled and asked the chair umpire to find out what the sound was.

Upon further investigation, security discovered the drone and worked to remove it as the match resumed. Verley was then arrested a short time later after police located him, and he was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless operation of a drone, and operating a drone outside the prescribed area for doing so.

You can check out the reaction to the crash-landing in the clip. It's kind of surprising that things like this don't happen more often at sporting events.
