How Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership Is Helping Kids Excel in Sports and School

Sports can make a big difference in a kid's life.

Sports are important. To you. To me. To all of us. But unfortunately, there are some kids out there who aren't able to play certain sports like lacrosse because of where they grew up and how much their families make every year. The Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership organization is trying to change that right now by giving opportunities to kids and helping them excel in both sports and school.

Dick's Sporting Goods recently donated $25,000 to the program as part of their Sports Matter initiative to save sports in America. Friday Night Lights author Buzz Bissinger also penned a piece about Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership that you can read here. It details exactly how the organization is helping and provides several real-life examples to show who is benefiting from it. Go check it out now.
