Bart Scott played for the Jets from 2009-12, and now, as an analyst for CBS, he's weighed in on the situation that saw Geno Smith get punched in the face by a teammate, which will keep him sidelined for up to 10 weeks.

Scott believes that Smith should have simply paid IK Enemkpali the $600 he owed him, mainly because of the existence of an ATM machine inside the players' lounge.

"I can understand how that situation can escalate, especially because there’s an ATM in the players’ lounge,” said Scott, via Brian Costello of the New York Post. “Come on, bro, you’re walking by an ATM every day. It’s just bam, bam, get the money.”

Scott made it clear that he didn't condone what happened, but the Jets quarterback could have avoided the situation altogether if getting the cash into Enemkpali's hands really could have been taken care of so easily.
