It's been a great year for UFC so far in 2015. From the continued rise of Ronda Rousey to the emergence of Conor McGregor, things have been going really well for Dana White & Co. But unfortunately, it doesn't look like UFC star Anderson Silva is going to get the chance to take part in the success of the company for the remainder of the year.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission just suspended Silva for a year and fined him $380,000 for testing positive for banned substances both before and after his January 2015 fight against Nick Diaz. Earlier this week, Silva had argued that he tested positive on both occasions because of sexual enhancement drugs that he had taken prior to the fight, but the NSAC didn't buy his argument and decided to suspend and fine him. He will not be eligible to fight again until January 31, 2016.

Silva will also be subjected to additional testing next year before he's allowed to step into the Octagon again. Stay tuned for additional details.
