Over the course of his career, Matt Bonner has been a reliable three-point shooter for the Spurs. He has made more than 40 percent of the threes that he has taken. So it was a little surprising to see Bonner shoot just 36.5 percent from beyond the three-point arc last season, especially when you consider that he had shot better than 40 percent for four straight seasons.

So what happened? Well, Bonner thinks he knows. It seems he had a mean case of tennis elbow for much of the season, and he believes it was a result of—get this—him spending too much time of his new iPhone 6.

"Everybody is going to find this hilarious," he told the Concord Monitor, "but here's my theory on how I got it. When the new iPhone came out, it was way bigger than the last one, and I think because I got that new phone, it was a strain to use it. You have to stretch further to hit the buttons, and I honestly think that's how I ended up developing it."

This sounds so silly, but there's probably something to it. The new iPhone is way bigger than the old one—especially the iPhone 6 Plus—so if Bonner was logging serious time on it, it could have affected him negatively. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how he bounces back next season.
