Jack Warner wasn't familiar with The Onion.

Even though it's 2015, there are still apparently some people out there who don't know what The Onion is. They fall for the site's satirical stories (we're looking at you, Stephen A. Smith!). They post about them on Twitter, Facebook, and other forms of social media (remember when everyone was fooled by this Jay Cutler story?). And in some cases, they even use The Onion to try and prove a point.

Just take a look at the video above, which features former FIFA executive Jack Warner trying to defend both himself and FIFA as a whole in light of the organization's recent scandal involving racketeering, wire fraud, and money laundering. At about the five-minute mark, Warner pulls out an article called "FIFA Frantically Announces 2015 Summer World Cup in the United States" to try and illustrate how he believes the charges made against FIFA stem from the United States' desire to host the World Cup. Just one problem: That article was published on—you guessed it—The Onion. So rather than making a point like he wanted to, Warner ended up looking like an idiot.

The video has been deleted from Warner's Facebook and YouTube pages. But this is the Internet, where nothing is ever truly deleted for good. So you can still watch the video above and laugh about how much dumber it makes FIFA look. SMH.
