After a season of averaging 23.8 points per game, 7.7 assists and shooting 44.3 percent from 3-point range, CSN Bay Area is reporting that Golden State Warriors point gawd Stephen Curry will officially be named NBA MVP next week.

It was almost a forgone conclusion that the vote would come down to Curry and the Houston Rockets James Harden, but Curry will become the first ever Warrior to take home the award. Harden reportedly finished second.

Whether he was obliterating Chris Paul's ankles, shooting a 3 and turning around before it went in because he knew it was good, or just making multiple defenders looks silly on one play like in the above Vine, Curry made the NBA his playground in his sixth year in the league. He currently has his Warriors team up 1-0 in the Western Conference Semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Steph Curry with the shot, indeed.
