Is Eagles head coach Chip Kelly a racist? No. Well, maybe, but probably not. Some people do think so, though. Fortunately for Kelly, at least one of his players is willing to defend him. Unfortunately for Kelly, one of those players is Riley Cooper. He stood up for his coach in an interview with the Delaware County Daily Times.
“It’s definitely difficult and upsetting for sure,” Cooper said. “I know [Kelly is] not like that."
Good on him for sticking up for his coach. You also have admire Cooper's confidence in the public's short-term memory and ability to forgive. It's actually kind of inspiring.
