Alex Rodriguez Hits Bomb, Passes Willie Mays For Fourth On All-Time Home Run List

Alex Rodriguez hits a home-run to move into fourth place all alone on the all-time list.

Alex Rodriguez started the night tied with Willie Mays for fourth on the all-time home run list with 660. In his first at-bat he hit a long pop-up that would've carried out but not for Orioles right fielder Delmon Young (or a modern day Jeffrey Maier):

Then in his second at-bat he cleared the fence (and any potentially leaping outfielders) with a no-doubter:

660 plus one is 661, which means A-Rod now stands at fourth alone. How many of those are legit? We don't know how to calculate that. Just throw out your best guess. Anyway, that's pretty much why this isn't bigger news. At least it didn't happen yesterday, because that would've been a pretty crappy birthday gift for Mays.
