He's gotta jump over five people next. The entire opponent's starting five, actually.

UNLV basketball commit Derrick Jones has a linear imagination when it comes to dunks, and who he can dunk over. Meaning, everything about them keeps going up. Just look at what he told USA Today Sports after completing his four-man dunk in the American Family Insurance three-point and dunk contest:

“I jumped over two people at the (Under Armour Elite 24 in August) and was at dunk contest at Memphis and jumped over three. I just thought about four today and thought, ‘Why not?’ and just did it.”

"Just did it." What do you have to say about that, Nike? Let's get to the tape:

And again:

WOOOOOOOO. He's gotta do the whole starting five next. Jones, a 6'6" swingman out of Archbishop Carroll, is the No. 22 ranked prospect in ESPN's Top 100. Known the best high school dunker in the country, the words "freak" and "freakish" tend to follow him around. Here's ESPN's scouting report of Jones:

"A long and explosive 6-foot-6 swingman, Jones is one of the best athletes in the country. He plays above the rim like few others can, is smooth and graceful going through mid-air and is capable of making the type of highlight-reel plays that can instantly change the momentum of a game. Jones is more than just a dunker, though -- he’s a top-notch finisher at a variety of different angles and speeds."

"Top-notch finisher" is a boring basketball term for "knows how to get buckets."

Back to the monsterous dunking, which he can do in-game:

March Madness should be fun with this kid next year.
