WWE Spoilers: Everything You Can Expect From Tonight's Monday Night Raw

What you should expect for the first post-Wrestlemania Monday Night Raw.

Sometimes, all the terrible build-up in the world doesn’t matter if the payoff is excellent. It’s no secret that Raw had been mediocre (or worse) since the Royal Rumble, but last night, it didn’t matter. WrestleMania 31 was an amazing spectacle, one filled with honest-to-goodness WrestleMania Moments. From Ronda Rousey teasing a money match against Stephanie McMahon, to the best RKO of all time, to that *bleep*ing ending, the Showcase of the Immortals lived up to the hype and more than surpassed it.

...and now it’s back to reality. Tonight’s Raw should be a really great reset button, letting us see the next few months of WWE programming laid out in real time. The R.A.W. (Raw After Wrestlemania) is a yearly smark tradition, where thousands of fans dedicated enough to not only fly across the country for Mania show up, but also stay an extra night. Three years ago, Daniel Bryan’s YES Movement began in Miami, while two years ago featured the loudest pop heard on free TV in a while (shout out to Dolph Ziggler). And last year, Paige debuted and won the Divas title in her first appearance on the main roster. What does tonight hold in store for us? Let’s find out:

  • This isn’t really a spoiler, just more reinforcement that you should watch tonight: Seth Rollins is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion as a massive opportunist heel...and he is going to get absolutely serenaded by the sold-out crowd in San Jose. It’s going to be awesome. THANK YOU ROLL-INS *clap clap clapclapclap*

  • It’s rumored that Sting and Undertaker will have some form of confrontation tonight, setting up a year-long feud between dudes that will almost certainly not be there more than 3-4 times. Still, though, it’s too hard to get mad since both guys looked way better than expected at WrestleMania, and this is THE dream match left from the Attitude Era.

  • Ronda Rousey’s in-ring attack on Stephania and, gloriously, HHH (you’re lying if you say you don’t want to watch this judo toss forever) is reportedly going to be setup for a match. Whether that’s a 1-on-1 against Stephanie or a mixed tag with the Rock by her side, this is exciting and certainly unexpected news. No word on whether Rousey will show up tonight, but there’s a good chance since she’s in the area.

  • Sheamus had been rumored to appear at WrestleMania, either to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal or to interfere in the ladder match. Thankfully, neither of those things happened, but now it’s being reported that he will show up on Raw tonight, apparently to set up a program with...wait for it...Daniel Bryan. The go-to guess is that Bad News Barrett gets his rematch and Sheamus comes in to Brogue Kick the new Intercontinental Champion. Heel Sheamus vs Super-Over Daniel Bryan would be magical, so no complaints here.

  • The reason Stone Cold Steve Austin didn’t appear at Mania is simple: the Texas Rattlesnake is apparently angry with the WWE’s promotion of his podcast on the Network. Seemingly backing that up is the fact that WWE is adding Chris Jericho’s podcast to the Network next week.

That’s it for current rumors; it seems that WWE is keeping a tight lid on surprises for tonight. After last night’s excellent show, it would be disappointing if they didn’t keep the momentum going, and if there’s one thing this company still knows how to do, it’s follow up WrestleMania. The hype train keeps on chugging for at least one more night.
