Chip Kelly and the Eagles have allowed a lot of talented players to leave Philadelphia over the course of the last year. From DeSean Jackson to LeSean McCoy to Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles have parted ways with a number of guys who, in theory, should have been building blocks for the franchise. And while it's clear that Kelly is trying to rebuild his team the way he wants it, his recent decisions have become a cause for concern for Stephen A. Smith, who made a name for himself at the beginning of his career working in Philadelphia.

Stephen A. doesn't understand what Kelly is doing right now. Or more specifically, he doesn't understand why Jackson, McCoy, and Maclin were sent packing while the Eagles decided to retain the services of Riley Cooper (the guy who did this) last year. So on ESPN First Take today, Stephen A. questioned Kelly for the moves he's made.

"We're sitting here looking at some of the decisions that Chip Kelly has made and I'm like, 'What's up with that?'" he said. "It looks like you got to be his kind of guy. And I'm like, 'Riley Cooper is your kind of guy?'"

He then pointed out that he doesn't feel as though he's alone in his thinking.

"You got brothers walking the streets going, 'What's up with Chip?'" he said. "It does strike me as a tad bit odd…Gone: LeSean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin, DeSean Jackson. Staying: Riley Cooper. Really? OK."
