It doesn't sound like Justin Melton—a Philippine Basketball Association guard who played for the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, N.C. from 2005 through 2009—spent a whole lot of time planning out his dunks for the PBA Slam Dunk Contest that was held last night. A short time before the contest was set to begin, he actually retweeted this tweet about his lack of preparation:

1.

Been bugging @jmelton_2 for his plans later for the Slam Dunk Contest. As with last year, he still has no plans! LOL! #PBAAllStar2015

And you know what happens when you fail to prepare, right? You prepare to fail end up trying to pull off a blindfolded dunk and come up juuuuuuuuuuuuust a bit short on it.

As we pointed out on Twitter, this wasn't the first time someone has tried this in a Slam Dunk Contest:

2.

It's OK, the blindfold trick didn't work for Baron Davis either.https://t.co/od2pYY3kuA

But if you're going to try it, shouldn't you at least practice it once or twice? Er, guess not.
