There are two things in this world that MLB takes seriously: PEDs and gambling. Historically though, gambling's been No. 1. Throughout MLB's super-long history, the harshest sanctions have been handed down on players who made money from places the commissioner didn't like. From the short-lived "lifetime bans" on Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle to Pete Rose's second career of shame (which may be coming to a close under new commissioner Rob Manfred, as recent events have indicated), MLB's been tough on gambling. After a series of leaked Twitter DMs, Miami Marlins pitcher Jarred Cosart may be charged with baseball's second sin.
According to the Miami New Times, MLB has launched an investigation surrounding a few messages between Cosart and a Twitter gambling expert.

It looks like Cosart was just trying to score some March Madness betting tips. Hey, he's just like the rest of us! Except being a professional baseball player and surrounding yourself with anything close to gambling, especially on sports, is a huge no-no. Cosart's since seen the leaked DMs, and responded by locking his Twitter account, then deleting it, and then opening up a new one.
He shared these messages...

...before deleting his account again. A Marlins spokesperson couldn't confirm whether or not the second account was actually made by Cosart.
Hopefully the guy's bracket isn't busted yet. Then this would be a truly vain situation.
