Michael Beasley Sings Vanessa Carlton During Karaoke, Solidifies Himself as a Heat Legend

Karaoke classics like "Billie Jean," "Twist and Shout," and "A Thousand Miles" were painfully performed by Miami Heat brass.

The Miami Heat look just a little different this year than they have these past four seasons. For starters, LeBron James isn't around anymore to tag-team karaoke night with Dwyane Wade. As important as LeBron's contributions were on the court, his showmanship and fire on the karaoke stage was a crux of Shane Battier's annual South Beach "Battioke" charity event. Never forget how he and Michael Beasley lit up the stage in 2014 with some Juvenile.

This season, Heat role players have been leaned on more than ever—whether in a game or in the middle of a song, guys like Michael Beasley have been stepping up to keep the Heat afloat in the Eastern Conference and in Miami Beach's Fillmore theater. After a triumphant half-season in China, Beasley recently rejoined the team that drafted him No. 2 overall in 2008.

Thank goodness he did, because now we all know how Michael Beasley likes to sing that Vanessa Carlton song you love to hate but can't help but sing along to. (Remember White Chicks?)

He even struggled—valiantly, may I add—through the solo.

Not to be outdone by a man who's getting 20 minutes a game on the Eastern Conference's seventh seed, Pat Riley and Eric Spoelstra got up on stage too. Riley croaked his way through Ferris Bueller's Migos' The Beatles' "Twist and Shout."

Noticing how washed Riley was, an emboldened Spoelstra and his girlfriend somehow did "Billie Jean." Somehow.

The song is now ruined forever, but based on the chemistry between Coach Spo and Nikki Sapp (she's more of an alpha dog than 2008 D-Wade), it's easy to tell who's on top at home. #ImportantFacts
