How many more injuries is Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney going to sustain at the beginning of his NFL career?

The former No. 1 overall draft pick hasn't even been in the league for a full year. Yet, he's already suffered a hernia, a concussion, and a knee injury that forced him to miss most of his rookie season. And now, he has reportedly been treated for a dog bite that he received last week.

According to Sports Radio 610 in Houston, Clowney was bitten by his teammate D.J. Swearinger's pit bull. Clowney was taken to the emergency room after the dog bit his right arm and broke skin. Fortunately, the dog was up to date on its shots through April, so Clowney was OK. But animal control had to be called to quarantine the dog after the bite, which was described as "minor" by police who looked into the incident.

The Texans have not spoken publicly about Clowney's injury. But we're really starting to wonder what else this guy is going to have to go through before his NFL career gets off the ground.

UPDATE:

D.J. Swearinger took to Twitter a short time ago to explain the situation. Here's what he had to say:

1.

For the record.....my dog and clowney were just playing and it wasnt a serious bite..they were only playing....cool out on all that. #thanks
