Marcus Paige's Game-Winning Lay-Up Turned Dick Vitale Into Stuart Scott

Dick Vitale paid homage to Stuart Scott during his call of the North Carolina-Louisvill game

Fifth-ranked Louisville took on no. 18 North Carolina in Chapel Hill today, and the ending got a little wild. With ten seconds left and down by one, Tar Heels point guard Marcus Paige drove down the left side of the lane and kissed an incredibly difficult lay-up high off the glass and in to give UNC the lead. Paige's momentum took him into the row of cameramen behind him, and Louisville ran back the other way with a 5-4 advantage. Wayne Blackshear missed a wide open 3-pointer and Terry Rozier couldn't hit a last gasp jumper after securing the offensive rebound, and the Tar Heel faithful went nuts.

Dick Vitale was calling the game alongside Dan Shulman, and after the clock hit zero, he paid homage to his recently deceased colleague, Stuart Scott. Vitale yelled "Boo-yah!" five times before going silent and letting the crowd noise take over the rest of the broadcast. It was almost too perfect.
