Yesterday morning, Janay Rice's recent interview with Matt Lauer aired on the Today show. It featured her talking about domestic violence, her husband Ray Rice, and how her world has been turned upside down over the course of the last year. This morning, Today aired part two of Lauer's interview with her, which also featured Lauer speaking with Ray Rice himself.

During the interview, Ray was, of course, apologetic and spoke at length about the things he's trying to do to move beyond the domestic violence incident that took place between him and Janay back in February. But at one point during the interview—it takes place at about the 1:50 mark in the clip above—Rice also spoke on the joint press conference that the Ravens asked him and Janay to do back in May. And he said that he regrets not apologizing to his wife during that press conference and also placed some of the blame for it on the Ravens, who he claims essentially forced the couple to sit in front of reporters and hit certain talking points for the sake of the franchise.

"We were still under legal situations so there wasn't much that could be said," Rice revealed, "but I'll be honest: We were nervous. I was nervous. And that was the first time we were available to speak…I made a horrendous mistake not apologizing to my wife. When we were going in, we were given what to speak about. It wasn't truly coming from us."

You can watch Rice's interview above. You can also check out a clip of Lauer speaking with Janay's father Joseph Palmer below to hear what he thought after watching the horrific TMZ Sports video of Rice hitting his daughter inside of an elevator.
