The Timberwolves began their quiet, Kevin Love-less existence with a loss against the Grizzlies and a win against the Pistons — the Eastern conference bottom-dwellers. Their near future will definitely feature Ricky Rubio.
The play-making point guard has signed a four-year, $55 million contract. If Minnesota wants to make the playoffs soon, it's going to partially depend on if Rubio can continue being the great passer he's been, be a more effective scorer, and if he could mesh with Andrew Wiggins.
Whatever your opinions are on the deal, there's no denial that Rubio's agent is really good at his job.
