The Green Bay Packers are on an absolute roll, and today scored 50-plus points in consecutive games for the first time in their history as they destroyed the Philadelphia Eagles 53-20.

Once again, Aaron Rodgers was the story for the Packers. The superstar quarterback completed 22 of 34 passes for 341 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. Rodgers set an NFL record with 292 straight pass attempts at home without an interception, and set another all-time mark with 29 straight touchdowns at home without a pick.

He benefited from two outstanding touchdown catches, one by Jordy Nelson:

And another by Eddie Lacy:

On the Eagles’ side, Mark Sanchez made everyone remember why he struggled to hold onto the starting job with the Jets. He finished with a serviceable enough stat line (26 of 44, 346 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs), but also had a fumble and one of his interceptions returned for a touchdown as the Eagles fell behind 17-0 at the end of the first quarter and 30-6 at halftime.

After starting 1-2, the Packers are now 7-3 and moved into a tie with the Lions for first place in the NFC North. They have been an absolute force at Lambeau Field, where they are 5-0 on the season and are averaging 44 points scored per game.

The Eagles fall to 7-3 and are locked in a tie with the idle Cowboys for first in the NFC East. They still have four division games remaining—including two against Dallas—so still have everything to play for as we head into the home stretch of the regular season.
