Ben Roethlisberger Doesn't Think Justin Bieber Cursed the Steelers on Sunday

Don't #BlameBieber, Steelers fans!

On Sunday afternoon, the Steelers lost to the Jets. And a short time after the game ended, there were tons of Pittsburgh fans who took to Twitter to express their outrage over the loss. But they didn't direct their anger at the Steelers themselves. No, no. They directed it at Justin Bieber—who attended a Steelers' Bible study session on Saturday night—and started a #BlameBieber hashtag to let Biebs know that they were not happy about him cursing their team.

1.

Ben Roethlisberger doesn't think the pop singer deserves to be blamed for the Steelers' loss, though. He appeared on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh earlier today and talked about Bieber's presence at the Bible study. He said that he doesn't believe it played a role in Pittsburgh's loss.

"That's not a big deal at all," he said. "For instance, [former Steelers wide receiver] Plaxico Burress stopped by. Obviously he's family, but people stop by all of the time and say, 'Hi,' and we've had other athletes, actors, celebrities, stuff like that stop by. It's not a big deal at all."

2.

Steelers fans would definitely disagree. But Roethlisberger—who didn't meet with Bieber during his brief time with the Steelers because of a quarterbacks' meeting—maintained that Bieber doesn't deserve to be blamed for anything.

"It was all fun for him and the guys," he said. "[Bieber] is one of the more popular guys for good or for bad in the country, so they had a chance to say hello and they did."

Case closed. Er, we think. Though, for the record, we're guessing Steelers coach Mike Tomlin won't be inviting Bieber to visit with his team again anytime soon.
