Star Georgia running back Todd Gurley is currently suspended due to an ongoing investigation for alleged NCAA violations. The decision was announced today by Georgia head coach Mark Richt. During a press conference today, Richt said, "I'm obviously very disappointed. The important thing for our team is to turn all our attention toward preparation for Missouri."
It is unknown what exactly Gurley did to earn this attention, but stay tuned for more developments in the story.
The Bulldogs running back was regarded as a front-runner for this year's Heisman trophy. Given the indefinite nature of this suspension, Gurley's chances at winning the award could be shot.
UPDATE:
Source says ongoing investigation is into if Gurley received money for autographs or allowing likeness to be used. http://t.co/CAXPFNjiL0
