Joe Flacco is chasing history in Tampa, as he threw four first quarter touchdown passes and added a fifth just over a minute into the second. As you might expect, the Ravens are blowing the Buccaneers out, leading 38-0 at halftime.
The best of Flacco’s five TDs was undoubtedly this throw to Michael Campanaro, a 19-yard strike that was his fourth TD toss of the day:
The record for touchdown passes in an NFL game is seven, a feat accomplished by five different players: George Blanda (1961), Y.A. Tittle (1962), Joe Kapp (1969), Peyton Manning (2013), and Nick Foles (2013). With 30 minutes of football left to go, Flacco certainly should have a couple nice opportunities to add his name to the record books.
