Floyd Mayweather Doesn't Like to Talk About Manny Pacquiao Because of a Lawsuit That Was Filed Against Him a Few Years Ago

Is this really why Mayweather doesn't want to talk about Pacquiao right now?

Over the course of the last few years, Floyd Mayweather has talked about Manny Pacquiao on a number of different occasions. So it seemed a little bit strange when Mayweather didn't want to talk about him during a recent interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg. But he mentioned that he got hit with a lawsuit a few years back for talking about Pacquiao—we assume it was this lawsuit—and that that's why he tries to avoid talking about Pacquiao at length these days.

"I thought this was the boxing business where we can talk trash, one fighter can talk about another fighter…back and forth," Mayweather told Rosenberg. "I wanted the fight [with Pacquiao] to happen a long time ago, but it's just hard when he has a promoter that's stuck in his ways."

In his Hot 97 interview, Mayweather also touched on a ton of other topics. He talked about why he won't fight Adrien Broner, why he's planning on retiring in September 2015, and why we (probably) shouldn't expect Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, or Drake to walk him out to the ring tomorrow night before his fight against Marcos Maidana.
