It sounds like Greg Oden might be in a lot of trouble right now.

According to the Indianapolis Star, the former No. 1 overall NBA Draft pick was arrested at approximately 5 a.m. today after getting into a physical altercation with a woman he used to date. The Lawrence Police Department responded to a call from a home in Lawrence, Ind. and found the woman "crying and lying across a bed holding her face." She reportedly had blood on her, a swollen nose, and several cuts on her face. And while the woman didn't want to cooperate with police initially, the police report that was filed later indicates that her best friend told the responding officers what she had seen take place between the woman and Oden.

"He punched her in the face," she told police.

Oden was reportedly still on the scene when cops arrived and cooperated with their investigation.

"I was wrong," he told them according to the police report, "and I know what has to happen."

Oden was arrested a short time later and transported to the nearby Marion County Jail. He is facing a preliminary battery charge.

We'll keep you updated once we have more details on the situation.

UPDATE: Looks like Greg was showing some state pride that night by wearing an "OHIO" shirt with double middle fingers.
