The Falcons Running Back Jadeveon Clowney Popped Doesn't Think He's That Special

Antone Smith admitted Clowney was pretty good, but he's not saying he's the real deal just yet.

One of the season's biggest running rookie stories that's not Johnny Manziel is Jadeveon Clowney. The Texans' defensive end has shown he has the potential to be a devastating threat in the pros, especially when he blew up two consecutive plays yesterday against the Falcons.

In the first, he straight up hit sticked running back Antone Smith. Smith, the victim, isn't impressed.

“Just a guy,” Smith said in an interview with Houston's 610 Sports Radio. “I don’t see anything special. He’s just a guy. He’s a guy who plays defensive end. He plays pretty good. Made a good play.”

He also didn't see Clowney coming. OH!

Still, it's too simple to mark Smith's comments as simply hating. Yes, Clowney is pretty good. But is he NFL special? Time will tell.
